Juliet Starling is a cheerleader who fights zombies in a high school. Juliet has a chainsaw that she can use in many different ways. Her health can be restored by collecting lollipops. The head of Juliet's boyfriend is on top of her. This isn't a serious game.
The remake will be produced by Yasuda. Some people who worked on Lollipop Chainsaw are part of the development team. Some aspects of the remake will not be the same. The new version will use current-gen consoles to deliver a more realistic approach to the graphics. Licensing issues will cause new music to be added.
The intellectual property from Kadokawa Games was acquired by Dragami. It has been some time since players have not been able to access the game on current consoles due to various factors. The original development staff of Lollipop Chainsaw didn't want to leave the game in limbo because they thought it was very precious to them.
