Tennis players competing at Wimbledon have been told not to max out their food allowances as the club fears running out of food, multiple outlets including The Guardian and The Telegraph reported.

The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club sent an email to players asking them to be careful with what they take.

The players are given £90 per day to spend on food and drink, while the coaches are only given half that amount.

Some players and coaches have been stocking up on food in order to maximize their allowance in order to treat the budget as a target rather than a limit.

The outlets reported that one coach took 27 yogurts in order to exhaust their allowance.

The outlets said that organizers sent the email to make sure there was enough food.

Six restaurants can be used for players and coaches to spend their allowance.

The email was not immediately responded to by the AELCT.

There are a number of different food options for visitors to choose from at the championship. There is a food village with pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and strawberries and cream.

Wimbledon organizers say that the cost of a portion of strawberries and cream has remained the same for a decade.

The men's and women's players will take home a guaranteed amount of money if they make it to the first round of the tournament.
