  • The actress said she felt like the new kid on the set of the movie.

  • All of Portman's costars and the director worked on the movie without her.

  • She said that she felt like a veteran and a newbie.

When she first joined the set of the movie, Natalie Portman felt like an outsider.

Portman's character in the film, Jane Foster, was a love interest for the film's main character.

In an interview with Vogue Australia, Portman said it was "surreal" to return to the universe after almost a decade.

The actor noted that she had to figure out how to fit in because her costars and the director of the previous movie all worked together.

When something is familiar but also new, it's so weird. Chris and Taika had worked together on 'Ragnarok' and so it was like they were all back together and I was new to it.

Since she has worked with both Thompson and Hemsworth before, the experience was familiar for Portman.

When she worked with Thompson, Portman said her favorite scenes were.

Portman said there's a love and partnership that comes into their scenes. It was nice to be able to look at my girlfriend and be like, 'What's happening here!' Are you also feeling this? It's just someone you can laugh with at work.
