Criminal activity gets the juices flowing quite like nothing else. Maybe there was a robbery, some weapons trafficking, or something else.

There is a problem. Changes in relationships with family and friends are included. It is sometimes not worth it. Crime TV shows feature all the thrills of crime without the negative personal ramifications.

There are a lot of crime shows waiting to be dug into, whether it's court-focused mini-series, investigation procedurals, or action-packed spotlights on criminal activities. There are quite a few shows to sift through and maybe some you won't find, so we compiled the best crime shows you can watch on the internet.

1. American Vandal

Two heinous crimes have taken place in a high school and there is a comedy series about it. Someone spray painted a bunch of cars in the parking lot. Dozens of students lose control of their bowels due to someone tampering with the cafeteria offerings. Shot through the lens of a few highschoolers trying to document their search for the truth, both seasons are hilarious as the mysteries unfold and we learn more about these highschoolers, their relationships, and their proclivity for hijinks.

2. Breaking Bad

meths is one of the topics of the show and it is covered from every possible angle. Walter White is a chemistry teacher who turns to producing and selling meth to cover the costs of his cancer treatments, and make sure his family will be financially stable no matter what. Walter's hunger for power and his brother-in-law's hunt for him caused things to spiral out of control. The setting of New Mexico and the entire cast are excellent. Better Call Saul, which is a bit less crime-y but still entertaining, is also available to stream on the internet.

3. Death Note

Death Note is a fantastic series that combines the supernatural with psychological thrills and mystery. Light Yagami, a young genius, found a book called the "Death Note" and attached a demon to it. The Death Note allows whoever uses it to kill anyone by writing their name down in it, and Light gets to work killing a lot of people he deems bad, setting off a hunt for him and stopping him. It is dark, sometimes goofy, and full of suspense. It's pretty bad that there's a live-action movie on the streaming service. K.B says to stick to the show.

4. When They See Us

When They See Us revisits the case of the Central Park Five in great detail. Examining the wrongful convictions of five Black and Latino men, Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana, and Korey Wise, for rape in 1989 (for which they would be exonerating over a decade later) is a heart-rending true-crime The film When They See Us shows the biases that plague our society and puts vulnerable people at risk.

5. Good Girls

Three of your TV faves are starring as a trio of suburban moms who stick up a grocery store to make ends meet. Unsurprisingly to anyone who has ever seen a crime drama before, they find themselves overwhelmed. Good Girls is a great show, it's equal parts thrilling and funny, with unexpected touches of emotion and cast chemistry.

6. Top Boy

Top Boy was first aired in the UK in 2012 and was set in the fictional Summerhouse public housing estate in East London. Micheal Ward joined the cast of the show as a new gang leader Jamie, and the show was revived by Drake along with several other people.

The drama is anchored by a young, talented cast that is very vulnerable. Television is at its best.

7. How to Get Away with Murder

There are complicated storylines and simple pleasures in How to get away with murder. The premise, which centers on a law professor and five students who are involved in a murder case, has many twists and turns. The series has a campy tone, a super-sexy cast, and a powerhouse performance by Viola Davis that makes it stand out. If you try to binge the entire first season in one sitting, you will be in big trouble.

8. Mindhunter

Mindhunter is based on true accounts of the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit, which established many modern criminal profiling tactics. Mindhunter isn't a police procedural in the truest sense. Instead, it takes its viewers on a frightening meeting with some of the most prolific serial killers of the 20th century, and asks why they did what they did. There is a nuanced portrait of criminology worth a watch for true crime fans.

9. Narcos

You are definitely making a solid crime show choice with Narcos, even if you didn't catch it in its heyday. This look at the life of a drug lord, played by a man who earned two Golden Globe nominations, is frightening and dark. It's good pacing and high production value make it more than just a horror movie, it's also a portrait of power.

10. Ozark

Every unhappy family is different. But in the state of Arkansas? The Birds are fucked in a unique way. A mild-mannered money launderer who accidentally sticks his family in the crosshairs of a Mexican drug gang is played by an executive producer and director. We watch as Marty, his wife Wendy, and their two kids struggle with life and death consequences against the ominous backdrop of the Ozarks in three seasons. This is a great show with great performances.

11. Peaky Blinders

Peaky Blinders is a British crime drama that is based off of real people. The series was created by Steven Knight and stars Cillian Murphy as a war hero who takes over as boss of the family and gang leader. Tommy struggles to manage his family's business, crimes, and enemies while dealing with severe post traumatic stress disorder.

The show has seduction, love, loss, mismanagement, booze, guns, violence, and wits. It features a stacked cast and is sure to shock even the most attentive viewers. It also has a killer soundtrack full of PJ Harvey, The White Stripes, and Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, so if you're not into it yet, you're in for a treat.

12. The Sinner

It's obvious that there are a lot of crime shows out there, but sometimes it feels like a genre that's become over saturated. The Sinner is one of the few crime shows that is more interested in innocence than guilt. It's the same thing that makes it feel fresh.

Each season, the show focuses on a different case, with Detective Harry Ambrose investigating scenarios where people have seemingly committed terrible crimes. The Sinner always places its well-drawn characters at the center, even though the earlier seasons are the strongest.

13. Riverdale

Is it odd that a TV series based on Archie comics is about murder, sex, and drugs? I agree. Is that weird in the show? It is not possible to say yes. It's not at all. The CW classic that isn't afraid to get messy begins with the death of a character and blooms into a smart, delightfully crazy show. No one's innocent in crime town is one of the most well known lines of the show.

14. Sacred Games

The 2006 novel, Sacred Games, was adapted to tell the story of the Underworld of Mumbai and one notorious mobster, Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The police officer was told to save the city by 25 days. It is a show that could have fallen apart with subpar casting, but it did not. If Season 1 is better than Season 2, it will be an anchor for this sinister tale as it unfolds.

15. Unbelievable

It's one of the best shows of the year because it's a crime series that focuses on the victims and not the perpetrators. Viewers never forget the real people behind the horrible headlines, thanks to the unforgettable performance ofKaitlyn Dever. In this based-on-a-true-story adaptation, a man breaks into a teen's home and rapes her, but doesn't leave any evidence, and the police doubt her story.
