The uncle of the suspect in the Highland Park shooting said he didn't see any warning signs.
Paul spoke to Fox 32 Chicago about his nephew, Robert, who was arrested over the incident that left six people dead and dozens injured.
He said that his nephew lived with him in the same house but in separate quarters.
He said he didn't see any red flags in his nephew's behavior.
He said there had been no warning signs. I said hello to him when I went back to my house. He said "bye" when I came back upstairs. It was all done.
"I don't see anything that would make him do this," said Crimo, who told the outlet that he didn't know where his nephew could have gotten the gun.
There was no sign of trouble. I would have made a statement if I didn't see signs. There were no problems.
He told Fox 32 Chicago that his nephew had been out of work for two years. The younger Crimo was a quiet kid who spent a lot of time on his computer, according to his father.
He said that he and his brother were well known in the Highland Park community.
I'm sorry for all the people that died and were injured. "From the bottom of my heart, I'm devastated, and my heart is broken to hear this."
