Chase Sapphire Reserve adds Marriott Gold fast track

2pm late check-out, 25% bonus points on stays, free premium internet and upgrade to non-suite rooms are included in Marriott Gold, which is the second lowest tier of Marriott.

Marriott Gold status is a benefit of the American Express Platinum card and the American Express Business Platinum and now Chase is offering it for three months with the chance to extend it for three more stays.

The Deal

• Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders have access to three months of complimentary Marriott Gold status with the option to extend through February 2024.

Existing members can log into their account and see the direct link to offer.

• Register between July 1 and September 30, 2022.
• Once registered, you’ll receive Marriott Bonvoy Gold status for a period of three months
• Stay three paid nights that are booked directly with Marriott during the three month period and receive Gold status through February 2024

Quick Thoughts

Marriott Gold isn't the most inspiring of elite statuses, it doesn't really start getting better until you reach Platinum. You are still starting from square one to get to the 50 required elite nights for Platinum even though this offer doesn't seem to give you any fast track past Gold.

If Marriott stays, you should register for the offer as it is better than nothing. I wouldn't try to arrange stays in order to fulfill it.
