The Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, Illinois was the scene of a mass shooting that left at least six people dead.

Information about the victims has been released by authorities. Five of the six people who died were adults who were pronounced dead on the scene while the sixth person died in the hospital after being transported from the scene.

25 patients with gunshot wounds that ranged in severity were brought to the hospital, as a result of the shooting, according to the medical director of emergency preparedness at NorthShore University HealthSystem.

Patients ranged in age from 8 years old to 85 years old. At least one child was critically injured when taken to the hospital, according to authorities.

Some of them were small. Some of the patients were critically ill when they arrived at the hospital.

There were 19 patients that had been treated and discharged.

$17,423 has been raised by the victims of the shooting on a Go Fund Me page. A page organized by VictimsFirst has raised $120 towards their goal.
