The Dallas Mavericks are rumored to be interested in the Cleveland Cavaliers guard, but the team isn't very interested in potential Mavs pieces that could be used in a sign- and-trade.

The Dallas Mavericks have been rumored as a team that might be interested in them. They don't have a cap. It would need to be a sign and trade. I'm told that the Cavs aren't very interested in any of the pieces Dallas would be willing to send back to them in a sign-and-trade.

Sam Amico of Hoopswire said on June 30 that the Mavs could potentially be interested in the restricted free agent if the New York Knicks parted ways with the player. The four-year, $104 million deal with New York was the reason for that.

The Cavs extended a qualifying offer to him on June 28, but no one was interested in him.

The young man averaged 16.0 points in 28.7 minutes per game. He was only able to play 11 games after he tore his left meniscus in a game against the Knicks.

The ex-Alabama star had a career high in points and assists.

According to Shams Charania of Stadium and The Athletic, the good news is that he's made a complete recovery from his injury and is cleared for basketball activities.

NBA executives think he could make $20 million a year.
