Xiaomi put a huge camera sensor in its new Mi 12S Ultra flagship smartphone

One of the new phones fromXiaomi comes with a giant camera sensor, which is relatively large for a phone.

The Mi 12S Ultra is a large device. A camera-lens shaped bulge on the back of the phone takes up about a third of the phone's rear side.

The phone has three cameras, one of which uses a 1-inch sensor, and two of which use 5x optical zoom.

There are a few companies that have put 1-inch sensors in their phones before, but it hasn't been very common. The bigger the sensor, the more light it can gather and the more detailed it can be. It won't turn a phone into a DSLR, but it could be a step up from the typical phone camera. For reference, the actual size of a sensor is smaller than it states.

The company said it split the cost of developing the 1 inch image sensor with Sony. Sony released a phone with a 1-inch sensor late last year, however it only captured on part of the sensor, whereasXiaomi's phone will use the entire thing.

The Mi 12S Ultra is a flagship phone with a camera. It has a large battery, 67W wired fast charging, and a 120Hz display. The phone is supposed to be the first phone to shoot in the new high definition format.

In China, the 12S Ultra will launch. A high-end version of the model with 12 gigabyte of RAM and 512 gigabyte of storage will go for over $1,000, while a model with 8 gigabyte of RAM and 128 gigabyte of storage will go for less than $600.

The 12S and 12S Pro are lower-end models that are being introduced byXiaomi. The two phones have a smaller main camera sensor than the Ultra, but it's still larger. The 12S has a smaller display and the 12S Pro has a larger one. The same chip is given to both of them. The price for the 12S starts at 3,999 and the price for the 12S pro starts at 4,699.
