The Los Angeles Lakers are rumored to be interested in trading for the Brooklyn Nets point guard, but they haven't been aggressive in their pursuit.

The Lakers are trying to put a deal together to get him from Brooklyn, according to a report.

Irving had 27.4 points and 5.8 assists per game. He has played in 11 NBA seasons and recently exercised his player option to stay in Brooklyn.

According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the Lakers and Nets were involved in talks with Irving.

According to a long-time NBA reporter on his Substack, the Lakers are trying to acquire Irving.

Irving is still a Net at the moment, but there could be a lot of changes coming to the organization.

Brooklyn could blow the roster up and start over again, ending a disappointing era that began when KD and Irving joined the team.

The Nets and Lakers are being watched to see if an Irving trade happens.
