KalvinPhillips has signed a six-year contract with Manchester City for a fee of up to 50 million dollars.

After agreeing personal terms and passing a medical, England internationalPhillips has left his boyhood club, where he came through the academy.

Sky Sports News understands that out of loyalty to his hometown club, he wouldn't join any other club.

Fernandinho left the club this summer after nine years and the No 4 shirt will be filled by the 26 year old.

I'm very excited to join Man City.

With an amazing squad and a manager who is considered to be the best in the world, City have once again proved to be the best team in the country.

Being a part of a fantastic squad, learning from the coaching staff, as well as being able to play underPep, is a prospect that I'm excited about.

The club has world-class staff and facilities. It's a dream come true to become a member.

Kalvin Phillips
Former Leeds defender Danny Mills believes 'outstanding' Phillips will take time to establish himself at Manchester City

Danny Mills is a former player for Manchester City.

He is an excellent player. I think he will join their squad, but I don't think he will start every game. It's very congested in the middle of the field, with Rodri in that position.

He's going to have to work his way into the team, that's not going to be easy."

He's going to play a lot of games next season, like he did this season. At Manchester City, you have to accept that you will be a squad player at times.

It's a move thatPhillips couldn't refuse. He's going to be playing in Europe's top competition, and he's going to try to win a trophy.

He had no choice but to accept the offer because it was probably too good to be true. He had to accept it even though he loved it.

Kalvin Phillips Best Bits
As Kalvin Phillips completes a move to Manchester City, watch the England midfielder's best bits for Leeds United in the Premier League.

Sky Sports News has a former player speaking.

It has been an incredible rise for someone that has come through the academy.

It's frustrating as we don't want to see one of our own leave. He has been a leader with his performances. It's a shame to see him leave from a fan's angle, but it's an amazing opportunity and nobody would begrudge him the move.

It's a great deal for City because of Fernandinho's departure. A potential legend is being replaced with a living one. It's a great deal from City's point of view.

I am very happy for him. He's a great guy. The boys will be sad to see him leave.

Life after Raphinha and Phillips: What's next for Leeds?

Sky Sports News senior reporter Tim Thornton looks at the future of the club with the departure of Raphinha and KalvinPhillips.

These moves may happen for a while. They were aware last summer that the coach could leave the team.

They've been planning since January when they were able to keepPhillips and Raphinha. They have already signed three people this summer. There is money in the kitty now that those players would have signed regardless.

Jesse Marsch likes to play two up front and we expect new players to join the club quickly.

Raphinha cost £16m and will be paid again by the same company. The strategy is that. They won't spend hundreds of millions of dollars on a player. They know who they want and will move quickly to get them.

Even though they have lost two big players, they can argue that the window has been a good one.
