It doesn't appear that either of them will be moving anytime soon despite their desire to be traded.

There isn't a lot of interest in a trade for either star.

"So far, there isn't much traction on deals with either Kevin or Irving," he said. Over time, they will develop.

The markets for the two players are slow- moving. There's only a limited number of teams who can take a chance on Irving because he's on an expiring contract.

According to Brian Lewis of the New York Post, the Nets and Lakers were talking about a trade. The Philadelphia 76ers and Dallas Mavericks are both interested in the seven-time All-Star point guard.

It won't be easy to get a deal done with Brooklyn's asking price. The Nets are looking for a combination of the best assets from teams, including any All-Star player(s), rising young players with All-Star potential and substantial protected draft picks and pick swaps where applicable, according to Michael Scotto of Hoopshype.

The Nets may be able to keep both of them for the start of next season, but they are prepared to find the right deals to move them.

Both of these processes don't have to be traded. Both of them can be brought back to start the season. It's not the ideal scenario for Brooklyn. They're trying to find a way to get the most assets they can. There's a lot of time left in the off-season, and a lot more talks to come.
