The Houston Astros beat the Los Angeles Angels 4-2 on Sunday to complete a three-game sweep.

Jeremy Pena hit his second home run of the game, a two-run drive with two outs in the ninth to give the Astros a victory.

It's unbelievable to do it on a walk-off. You get the win and it's great.

He struck out in the first two games. The three-time American League Most Valuable Player struck out in his next two plate appearances after reaching base on an error in the finale.

In his last at-bat, Trout popped out to end his futility.

The Astros tied the major league record for strikeouts in a nine-inning game, while Mike Trout struggled at the plate. All of the Angels hitters struck out at least once.

The pitcher allowed two runs on three hits and five walks and struck out a career-high 13 in the process. Ryan Pressly fanned three in the ninth, while the other two relief pitchers struck out two and one did not.

"It's something that is very emotional and exciting for me, and I'm very happy about it," he said through a translator. Being a part of that is very special.

The Astros manager agreed.

It's amazing. When asked about the team total of 20, he simply replied, "That's a lot."

The Astros have had at least 20 strikeouts in a nine-inning game in the past. Other teams struck out 20 on several occasions, including performances by Max and Roger. In 1964 the Astros had a record against Cincinnati.

The Astros fanned 47 in the series.

The man had four hits. In the ninth, Jose Altuve and Carlos Pea both hit home runs. In the fourth, he hit a home run.

Luis Rengifo hit a home run. Ohtani's single in the third made the score 2-0.

Altuve's single in the fifth made it 2-2.

The Angels had an acting interim manager on Sunday, as well as an acting interim manager and an interim manager who served their suspensions last week. Montgomery is serving the second game of his suspension.

There are a lot of good arms out there. They were able to beat us today because they have a lot of good pitchers in the pen.

The sixth game of the suspension was played on Sunday. He won't get his seventh until Tuesday, when he faces Sandy Alcantara in the first game of a three-game series.

There isn't a lot of history between the Angels and the Marlins, but Mike Trout is 0-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored.

Mike Trout is going to be a Hall of Fame player. He is going to come around. It's too long of a season to have a bad one. Everyone goes through it. We are confident that he will get out of it.
