We have come to know the Cleveland Browns as a dumpster fire over the years.
The team has shown Baker Mayfield the exit before officially kicking him out of the building. Robert Griffin III, a former quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, thinks the team should go back to Baker if he isn't available this fall.
Baker should be asked to stay if Deshaun is suspended for a long period of time. He can go win a playoff game, get you to the playoffs, and do all those things. He wasn't very effective last year. The bottom line is that Baker Mayfield is the better player. If you have to play a full season with a guy, your best option is to ask Baker to stay.
It sounds like a really bad idea. Cleveland knew their true feelings about Baker. After claiming they wanted an adult to lead the team, the Browns went out and traded for a younger player. At the time, Cleveland knew of 22 civil lawsuits for alleged sexual assault.
It would be difficult to go back in time after everything that has happened this year. The world was made aware of the divorce by the Browns. They brought in his replacement and found out he would be on a sabbatical. The franchise just told him he was no longer needed, so they're going to crawl back to him. That seems like a good plan. Not at all.
There is a chance of a reconciliation with the Cleveland Indians. For that to happen, we would have to reach out, but we are ready to move on, I think, on both sides.
You can't blame Baker for that. The city of Cleveland told him to leave. They can't find a scenario they like. They won't let him go and move on. It's a tough situation.
Under current circumstances, we have only seen a few teams show genuine interest in Mayfield. Both the Seattle and Carolina teams. Both organizations are not interested in trading valuable assets. They are waiting for the Browns to make a decision.
I don't think it's a good idea I don't think it's a good idea for the Browns to reach out to Baker. It's time for Cleveland to move on and allow Mayfield to find a new team. The two sides are at fault. Differences are irreconcilable. Pick a reason and it will apply to this situation
If the Browns come back and ask Baker to stay, he should say thank you, but not thank you. He shouldn't even think about returning. It's going to be awkward going back to lead this team when they were done with you. I'm passing on the chance if I'm Mayfield. He bet on himself in the past and it paid off. Baker needs to bet on himself again.
