The first in-person event since 2020 raised more than three million dollars for Doctors Without Borders. In all, some of the world's best speedrunners descended on Bloomington, Minnesota to complete 134 different versions of games. Games Done Quick collected more than 42,000 donations over a seven day period.

Kasumi "Sumichu" Yogi left the event. For the past eight years, Yogi has been the director of marketing and business development for the organization. The all-women Flame Fatales showcase will take place on August 21st and will raise money for the Malala Fund.
