According to Mark Gurman, a body temperature sensor will be included in the next Apple Watch. The Series 8 won't give an exact reading, but it could send a notification that will prompt you to see a doctor or use a dedicated Thermometer.

Gurman has mentioned the possibility of a temperature sensor before. He first mentioned that Apple was working on a feature in June of 2021. Blood temperature monitoring was one of a few capabilities that were a few years away.

He said the Series 8 would have a body temperature sensor if it passed Apple's internal testing. Gurman believes the feature is a go for the standard Series 8 and the rugged edition Apple is creating for extreme athletes.

Other changes to the Series 8 will be small. The Series 7 and Series 6 will feature the same processing power as the Wearable, according to his report. The Series 8 models could include an updated display, according to him. The second-gen AirPods Pro won't come with a lot of upgrades. According to Gurman, they won't include heart rate or body temperature monitoring features. He says that both enhancements have been explored inside the company and could arrive one day.
