  • Microsoft is working on a lighter, faster version of Outlook on Android.
  • The updated app is designed for low-end Android phones, with no significant differences from the main app.
  • It is expected to be widely available starting in July.

In order to provide a smooth experience on low-end devices, technology companies tend to offer a lite version of their apps.

An entry in Microsoft's roadmap indicates that a lighter, faster version of Outlook is coming to many of the best cheapANDROID phones this month. The main function of the main app will be available on low-end phones thanks to theOutlook lite app.

Outlook lite is an app that brings the main benefits of Outlook in a smaller app size with fast performance for low end devices on any network.

The app doesn't take up much storage space. This means faster performance at the expense of some features in apps such as Facebook lite.

There is no significant difference between the core Outlook app and Outlook lite, save for the fact that it only allows you to create a single account.

The Outlook app seems to be just as feature-rich as the full version, except for a small change. An update to the app will have a navigation bar at the bottom. There are three tabs in the main Outlook app on mobile. The search tab will be replaced by contact's tab in the lighter version.

There is an existing app with the same name that is already available in a few countries. The lighter version may be released more broadly by Microsoft.

When we get a response from Microsoft, the article will be updated.
