The governor of the Belgorod region said in a Telegram post that at least three people were killed after a Ukrainian missile attack.

At least eleven apartment buildings and 39 private houses were damaged in the attack. There were five buildings that were destroyed.

Russia destroyed three missiles that were launched at Belgorod, but fragments hit residential buildings, and two missiles were also destroyed, according to a Telegram post.

The missile attack was launched at civilians in Russian cities.

The Ukrainian government has not yet commented on the attack.

The death of civilians and the destruction of civilian infrastructure in Belgorod are a direct act of aggression on the part of Ukraine and require the most severe military response.

There were as many as 1,000 people in a shopping mall that was hit by Russian missiles. There were 18 deaths.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia hit the shopping center because they were angry that Ukrainians were carrying on.

The Associated Press reported that the Ukrainian prosecutor-general said that Russia's military has been "systematically shelling civilian infrastructure with the aim to scare people, to kill people, to bring terror to our cities and villages."
