The next Africa Cup of Nations won't be held in 2023, according to the president of the confederation of African football.
The tournament was to be held in the middle of the rainy season in the country.
The South African said that they couldn't take the risk.
Due to the World Cup taking place in November and December this year, the finals have been pushed back.
The Nations Cup will be held in January and February for the second year in a row.
The finals of the African Cup of Nations were moved from January-February to June-July in order to avoid conflicts with European clubs in the middle of the year.
January is not the best time because of the European clubs.
