North Korea has finally decided to give its residents the true story behind COVID-19, or at least a fairy tale version that the dictator decided would most benefit his regime.

According to the state run newspaper, the balloons were sent from South Korea and landed in North Korea, where they spread the coronaviruses to adults. According to the report, the country has been investigating the source since earlier this year, when the virus spread rapidly within the country's isolated borders and killed many people.

The state narrative claims that an 18-year-old serviceman and a 5-year-old kindergartener contacted strange things in the hills near the army barracks.

According to the Wall Street Journal, North Korea reported over four million cases of "fever" but only 73 deaths in May.

While living in South Korea, North Korean defectors send balloons filled with supplies and information back to their homeland. ABC reported earlier this week that South Koreans had sent medical supplies over the border via balloon.

It's not likely that anyone caught Covid that way since the virus is spread through particles in the air.

The leader of North Korea doesn't want his people to know the truth about the outside world. Given Kim's ulterior motives, it's not surprising that Covid spread because of balloons.

Experts say that a stranded oil tanker could start leaking any time now.
