Apple is working on a feature that will allow drivers to pay for gas in their car.

At Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in June, the feature was quietly unveiled.

It is expected that Apple will bring it to its in-vehicle software platform this fall. It means that a lot of car models will get the new feature when it's released.

Once operational, drivers will be able to select an app for navigation to a gas pump, and then purchase the fuel by making some simple selections on the in-car display It will not fill the car with the nozzle if it is stuck in the car.

If you want to use the new feature, you will need to download a fuel company's app to your phone. They are good to leave after that.

Sinclair is one of the largest gas station operators in the country with 1,600 stations. It will be updating its app to support Apple's new feature, which will make it easier for customers to purchase fuel at its sites.

According to the news outlet, Apple has already enabled CarPlay to support apps for activities such as parking, charging electric vehicles, and ordering food, and so paying for fuel in this way is just the latest way for the company to expand the platform.

In order to give iPhone-owning drivers a safe and easy way to access the phone's features via physical controls, Apple launched CarPlay in 2004. The ultimate co-pilot can be found in the tech giant's description of CarPlay. There is a platform calledAndroid Auto.

We will update this article when we hear back from Apple about the feature.
