Hacked Tesla Model S Plaid breaks speed record, goes 216 mph

At the Trois-Rivires airport in Québec, Canada, a man named Guillaume André sat behind the wheel of a whiteTesla Model S Plaid and didn't let go until the car reached a top speed of over 200 mph.

But how did he get around the software limitations of the company? The CEO of the company that sells car parts, kits, and modules is from Quebec. The top speed is one of the limitations, and it can't fly without it.

The only hardware modifications required to achieve this feat were bigger brakes and better tires. It looks like you take your kids to kindergarten with a basic Model S.
