Karl- Anthony Towns has agreed to a four-year, $224 million supermax extension with the Minnesota Wolves, his agents said.

Towns' contract value will increase to $295 million over the next six years, according to his agent.

According to Chris Hine of the Star Tribune, Towns earned the right to a supermax extension after being named to the All-NBA third team.

The two years left on Towns' contract were up before the new contract was signed. He was going to be a free agent in twenty four years.

In his seventh NBA season, Towns led the Wolves to a 46-36 record and a playoff appearance in 2021.

They pushed the Memphis Grizzlies to six games before they lost in the first round.
