P.J. Tucker is close to signing a three-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Sources told Adrian Wojnarowski that the 76ers agreed to deals with two free agents. The deal is for two years and $8.5 million.

Tucker joined the Miami Heat last season and helped them to the best record in the conference.

Tucker played 28 minutes per game in the playoffs and knocked down 45% of his 3-pointers. Tucker played in 71 games in the regular season and all 18 of Miami's playoffs.

After Miami's season ended in a loss to the Boston Celtics, Pat Riley called Tucker a "cornerstone" player. Tucker's $7.4 million player option was not exercised.

Tucker has earned a reputation as one of the NBA's premier role players due to his defensiveVersatility and Toughness, and he spent five seasons playing overseas after he was cut by the Toronto Raptors.

Tucker has a career average of 6.1 points and 5.7 rebound per game.
