After winning an NBA championship, Juan Toscano- Anderson is ready to take the next step in his career with the LA Lakers.

Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports says that Toscano- Anderson has a contract with Los Angeles.

The writing was on the wall for Toscano- Anderson with the Golden State Warriors when they didn't extend him a contract. They paid a combined $346 million between player salaries and tax last year.

No one is suggesting the Warriors will cut payroll, but at some point the front office has to find ways to save money.

It took Toscano- Anderson a long time to get to the NBA. He spent three years in Mexico and Venezuela as a player after he was cut from the team.

The Golden State Warriors signed Toscano- Anderson. After spending two seasons with the Santa Cruz Warriors, he made his NBA debut in February 2020.

During his three years with the Warriors, Steve Kerr has mostly used Toscano- Anderson off the bench. In limited minutes, he has been an efficient scorer, shooting over 50 percent from the field.

The best season for Toscano- Anderson was the 2020-21 season. He made 40% of his three-pointers.

Golden State's quest to repeat as NBA champion will not be affected by the loss of Toscano- Anderson. He was a good player off the bench, but never got a lot of playing time.

The Lakers can take advantage of the things that Toscano-Anderson can do.

As a shooting guard and small forward, Toscano- Anderson has the ability to do both. He gave a boost to the Warriors during the 2020-21 campaign. His shooting could improve with the attention he gets from opponents.

The lack of depth was one of the reasons why the Lakers fell apart last year. This roster needs a glue guy like Toscano- Anderson.
