  • If Democrats pursued their own plan, McConnell would kill major bipartisan legislation.

  • McConnell's statement is a big blow to the China bill.

  • The US Semiconductor industry is one of the main parts of the plan.

McConnell said on Thursday that he would block the progress of the bill if Democrats continued to work on a separate plan.

McConnell said that there would be no bipartisan USICA if Democrats pursued a reconciliation bill.

Nancy Pelosi's office blasted McConnell as a tool of the Chinese communist party.

"Make no mistake: Senator McConnell is siding with the Chinese Communist Party against American workers and industry," Pelosi's spokesman said. What is the reason? The GOP's friends in Big pharma can rip off Americans who are struggling to pay for their prescriptions.

McConnell's statement spells the end of bipartisan talks that have dragged on throughout the year as both chambers crafted their own plans to rein in America's supply chain. Democrats are close to striking a deal to revive their stalled climate and healthcare bill.

The scope of the China bill was a point of contention between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats were urged to ditch provisions relating to trade, labor and immigration. During a chip shortage, a key Democratic priority, a chunk of the bill was set aside to shore up the US Semiconductor Industry.

Biden's economic agenda is in the hands of two centrist Democratic senators. The Senate must pass the smaller spending bill with a tie-breaking vote from the vice president.

The China bill is a top priority for the White House. The bill is sometimes referred to as the China bill. It has caused a reputation for all of the special-interest driven provisions that have found their way into the text.

Raimondo, who has been involved in the talks, said that it had to be done before the August recess. I can't say it clearly anymore. If Congress doesn't act, this deal will be over.

The Senate's version of the bill was authored by Chuck Schumer. During his State of the Union address, Biden pushed it. In February, the House advanced it's plan. The sides have been working on it for a long time.

Biden said that to compete for the best jobs of the future, we need to level the playing field. The Bipartisan Innovation Act will make record investments in emerging technologies and American manufacturing if passed.
