According to Brian Windhorst, the Suns are leading the way to trade for Kevin Durant. There is a time and a place for this.
Hours before the new league year starts, one of the biggest names in the NBA made himself available. Despite signing a four-year, $198 million max extension in August, Kevin Durant asked the Brooklyn Nets owner to be traded from the team on Thursday.
Irving did not receive any sign-and-trade interest from other teams, so he chose to stay with the team. Since Irving opted into his deal with the Nets, he and his friend didn't have any contact with the team.
Sources say that the Miami Heat and the Phoenix Suns are at the top of the list for Kevin. Sean Marks is the general manager of the Nets and he is trying to find a trade for KD.
During the regular season, he played just 55 games as he recovered from an injured knee. Irving wasn't allowed to play home games in New York because he didn't get the vaccine.
