According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Denver Nuggets and reigning NBA Most Valuable Player, Jokic, have agreed to a five-year $264 million extension.

Jokic will have a $60 million player option for the 27th season in a row.

Over the past two seasons, Jokic has averaged 26.7 points on 57.5 percent shooting, 12.3 Rebound and 8.1 Assists He leads the NBA in player efficiency rating each year.

He has led Denver to the playoffs in each of the last four seasons.

Jokic may have been the best coach in Denver's history as he led the team to a 48-34 record and the sixth seed in the Western Conference playoffs.

Jokic should be with the Nuggets for a long time. Jokic told reporters after the season that he might sign a supermax extension.

Jokic said that he would like it, but he wasn't making a decision. If the offer is on the table, I will accept it because I like the people who work here.

Jokic was expected to be the highest-paid player in the game with a five-year extension from Denver.

Expectations will be high in Denver next year with the return of Murray and Porter, along with the cornerstone in Jokic.

After two great seasons showcasing why he is arguably the best player in basketball, the big man is up to the task.
