iFixit starts selling Pixel parts for DIY repairs

You can now buy official parts to try and fix the problem yourself if you don't already have one. iFixit now sells parts and repair guides for the above models.

There are screens, batteries, rear cameras and charging ports. iFixit will offer more types of parts in the future Fix Kits from iFixit include everything a user needs to repair their device. The kit comes with a gizmo to open the phone. There is a lifetime guarantee from iFixit for the parts.

In the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and other European countries, iFixit is selling parts for the devices that are offered by the company. After launch, the company plans to support future models. This fall it will have guides and parts for the film. Independent repair shops can buy parts from iFixit.

In April, iFixit and Google formed a partnership to sell official parts for thePixel. Customers will be able to repair self-repair devices. There is a push for right to repair rules.

The New York state assembly passed a right-to-repair bill that is currently on the governor's desk. Similar legislation has been passed in a few other states. Illegal repair restrictions have been taken aim at by the federal trade commission.
