A number of new, budget-minded products have been unveiled by the popular device, the Raspberry Pi. The success of the $4 Pico board has led the company to build on it.

The new Pico W will be available for $6 today, with the additional $2 bringing the system to a state of wi-fi availability. The Pico H and Pico WH both add a pre-populated headers for interefacted systems. The first two are currently available, while the other one will be arriving in August.

The company notes that its boards have found a lot of success beyond their initial focus on education, as companies have begun to incorporate the controllers directly into their products.

The chip shortage has been a boon for sales to third-party manufacturers. The global shortage of Semiconductors has accelerated the adoption ofPi Pico. Design engineers who have been let down by their current suppliers have a perfect excuse to experiment with new products.

The addition of wireless allows the system to be used in a variety of ways. The price is right for the company to sell more of these things.
