Rich Kleiman said that the Nets are trying to find a new team for KD.

Brooklyn is looking to get the best possible deal, though the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat are early favorites to land the star player.

The Oklahoma City star is under contract for the next four seasons and will make $194 million.

One of the sport's most gifted offensive players ever as a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder, the second overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, Kevin Durant won the most valuable player award. In 2016 he joined the Golden State Warriors and won two titles, becoming the first player in the history of the league to win two. The Nets failed to achieve much in their three seasons with KD under contract, despite the fact that they were expected to contend for a title. The Nets made back-to-back playoff appearances in the following two seasons, despite the absence of KD due to an injury. The Nets' 2021-22 season ended in a first round sweep and caused rumors to swirl about the relationship between KD and Irving.

What To Watch For

The Nets received something in the trade for KD. The New Orleans Pelicans received a historic trade package in exchange for Anthony Davis, which included three first-round picks and Brandon Ball.

Big Number

A total of $92.10 million. Forbes estimates that Durant made $50 million in endorsements. Among basketball players, Stephen Curry and Stephen James are the highest paid.
