Jos Buttler

The new white-ball captain is buttler.

When Morgan isn't available, Buttler has led England in nine one-day internationals and five Twenty20s.

Buttler said it was the greatest honor to captain his country.

The first assignment of Buttler's as captain will be against India in July. The squad will be named on Friday.

The T20 World Cup in Australia will be preceded by a series against South Africa, Pakistan and Australia.

The pair will work together to build a side that can defend the 50-over World Cup in India in October 2023.

He said that it was a great honor to take over from Eoin and that he was inspired by the challenges ahead.

It has been great to play under him and he has been an inspiration. There are a lot of things I've learned from him.

Rob Key, managing director of England men's cricket, said "Jos Buttler was the perfect choice to succeed Eoin Morgan as our white-ball captain, and I had no hesitation in giving him the role."

The transformation of the way the team has played its attacking brand of cricket over the past seven years was made possible by Jos, who has been part of the white-ball set up for over a decade.

I believe the extra responsibility will make him a better player.

Buttler was the stand-in captain and won six of the seven games.

One of three England players, along with Heather Knight and Dawid Malan, has scored centuries in all three formats.

He has made 2,140 runs in 88 T20s and scored one ton.

"Jos is definitely the right guy," said all-rounder Moeen Ali.

He will have his own way of doing things.

I don't know what else he could bring but I think he will bring his own way in terms of innovation and try to take it to the next level.

"He's got the same ethos and he's going to carry on Morgs' legacy no doubt," said Ben Stokes.

I don't think there will be a change in the way we play.

He said he missed playing one-day cricket for England and wants to play white ball this summer.
