The only ticket into the music industry used to be a record label. It is easy for musicians to get their music and video content out there. DistroKid, an independent music distribution firm, launched its new music video distribution service called DistroVid to allow any artist to uploaded an unlimited number of music videos to Apple Music, Amazon Music, TIDAL, and VEVO.

There will be more digital service providers in the coming months. According to the website, the service also covers the video sharing site. Users can add additional artists for a fee.

There hasn't been a good way for independent artists to get their music videos into these services. Independent artists will find it easy to get their music videos on DistroVid.

It is typical for video distribution services like Symphonic and Ditto Music to charge a one-time fee of up to $100 per music video uploaded. Artists pay the same price each year and can post unlimited music videos. Artists are paid 100% of their earnings by Distro Kid.

DJ Hoppa believes that DistroVid is a game-changer for independent labels. DJ Hoppa said that music videos help give potential fans a way to connect with both the artist and their music. It has been expensive to add my music videos to streaming services, which means our fans are forced to bounce between different apps to view them. DistroVid makes a big difference. The new tool makes uploading and sending videos directly to where fans are already listening to my music easy and affordable. It's going to be a game-changer for my independent label.

Last month the service was tested. The company's annual price was criticized by some Distro Kid artists. DistroKid responded to a question.

Other video distribution services (there aren’t many) charge $200 or more *per video*. Our service is less money, unlimited, and of course the best & easiest & fastest 💪💪🙏 Still we totally understand folks want an even better value and you can count of us to bring it ❤️
