For $4 a month, you can get snap's optional subscription service. This week it will launch in the US, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

You can change the app icon, see who re-watch a story, and pin a friend to the top of your chat history with the exclusive features. Some of those features, like BFF, will only be available to subscribers.

There is a new feature in the latest version of the browser that prevents websites from tracking you across websites. There are strings of characters added to the end of a URL that allow companies to track your clicks and serve targeted ads. You can enable the feature by selecting Strict for Enhanced Tracking Protection.

Nikon's mirrorless Z30 is an affordable, lightweight vlogging camera

I might be interested in the ZV-1 camera from Sony and the custom camera from Nikon. The news that the latter is releasing its own lightweight camera for the YouTubers and vlogging mass is how I'm interpreting it.

The Z30 is the smallest and lightest Z-series camera yet, with a flip-out display, 4K 30p video and a long 125 minute video record time. There is no electronic viewfinder, even though it has a three-inch screen. The Z30 comes in July at $710 for the body.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle was an unexpected hit on Switch. A major shakeup of how the game plays is now possible thanks to the fact that your heroes can move around in real time. Thanks to a white outline, you can still see how far a character can move in their environment. The baddies get to return the favor before the heroes do. This should make the game feel more natural. The game will arrive later this year.

Niantic is laying off about 90 employees and canceling four projects

'Pokémon Go' isn't going anywhere, though.

Around 85 to 90 jobs are being laid off by Niantic. Four projects have been canceled by the company. John Hanke wrote in an email to employees that they needed to streamline their operations in order to best position the company, according to a report. The success of 2016's Pokemon Go has been hard for Niantic to duplicate.
