  • Rogan said he thought DeSantis would be a great president.

  • In the past, the governor has defended the host.

  • He hasn't said if he's going to run for president.

The governor's fan base has gotten bigger.

Rogan said that he thinks the 43-year-old Republican governor would be a great president.

"What he's done for Florida has been admirable," Rogan said in an episode of his " Joe Rogan Experience " show when Daily Wire actress Gina Carano asked who he would like to see run for the White House in 2024. He said that he stood up for freedom.

When talking about the state of the US, Rogan referred to Biden as a dead man.

Rogan's comments are likely to increase speculation that the governor would run for president in 2024 even though he is focused on his reelection in Florida.

At the Western Conservative Summit earlier this month, a straw poll of self-identified conservative conference-goers asked who they would like to be the GOP's presidential nominee in four years' time. The Morning Consult poll showed growing support for the congressman.

Last week, he said he thought the presidential speculation was aimed at detracting from the losses that Democrats are expected to face in the upcoming elections.

Rogan is just one of many high-profile figures who have heaped praise on the man.

Last week, pundit Piers Morgan called on Republicans to dump Trump and support Ron DeSantis, and earlier this month, Musk said he would likely support the congressman for president.

DeSantis' COVID response got Rogan's attention

Rogan said that he supported the governor because of his approach to the COVID-19 epidemic.

Children were not allowed to wear masks in school and workers were not allowed to be forced to bevaccinated. The state should focus on vulnerable people.

Rogan said that a lot of people gave him a lot of grief, but he was correct. He was right when it came to deaths. He was correct when it came to protecting vulnerable people.

Even though federal officials said they weren't effective against the Omicron strain of the coronaviruses that was circulating at the time, DeSantis pushed for COVID patients to take anti- coronaviruses drugs. Most patients don't know which strain of the virus they have, and doctors don't know either.

Rogan supports legalized abortion and drug use. He has come under fire for saying that young and healthy people don't need the vaccine and for interviewing controversial people on his show. After walking back his comments, he said he was not opposed to the vaccine and encouraged people to get it.

Rogan touched on the controversy more broadly in Tuesday's episode of his show.

He said that people equating freedom and saying the word freedom to like right-wing bigotry and hate is strange.

Rogan has been defended in the past. He said Rogan shouldn't apologize after a video of him using a racial slur went viral.
