According to multiple reports, a New York Supreme Court judge lifted a civil contempt order against Donald Trump on Wednesday after he refused to comply with a state investigation into potential fraud by the Trump Organization.
The judgepurged the contempt ruling after Trump Organization employees filed affidavits detailing the company's practices for retaining documents.
In April, Trump was held in contempt by the New York Attorney General after she claimed he didn't comply with a subpoena.
On May 19th, the former president paid a $110,000 fine to the attorney general's office as part of an offer to overturn the contempt ruling.

After Trump's former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, testified at a Congressional hearing that the company lied about the value of assets for financial gain, James pursued a civil investigation into the Trump Organization. Several businesses associated with Trump have been accused of inflating the value of assets to get loans from banks and to avoid taxes. James' probe is a civil matter that could lead to a lawsuit, but criminal investigations into Trump's businesses are still going on.
The former president and his two oldest children are going to testify. The start date for testimony was set by the prosecutors and attorneys for the Trumps.
