Sources said that Mills will become a free agent after declining his $6.2 million option.

Mills was a member of the San Antonio Spurs for the last 10 years.
In the absence of Joe Harris, one of the league's premier sharpshooters, Mills stepped up for the Nets. He played 18 minutes per game in the first round of the playoffs.
In the regular season, Mills had a 40% success rate on his 3-pointers. Over the last six seasons, Mills has made over 1,000 3s and is the only player in the NBA to hit that many 3-pointers while playing less than 30 minutes per game.
Mills won the NBA's Joe Dumars trophy last season for best representing the ideals of sportsmanship on the court and he is a highly respected teammate.
