The current owner of Atari plans to celebrate the brand's 50th anniversary with a collection of games. More than 90 titles will be included in the Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration. Digital Eclipse is best known for its work on The Disney Afternoon Collection and the Street Fighter 30th anniversary collection.
Digital Eclipse was always Atari's first choice when it came to bringing classics back or doing any kind of remake, according to the company's CEO.
In addition to many classics, the collection will include six new retro-inspired games. A sequel to 1981's haunted house is one of those. There will be new levels for players to explore in haunted houses. Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration will cost $40.00 when it arrives later this year on consoles.
