NBA free agency starts Thursday at 6pm. The news has been rolling in from all over the league.

New York had a lot of the early buzz about the future of the Brooklyn Nets star point guard. Irving decided to take his player option for the 2022-23 season.

James Harden is one of the superstars with player options for next season.

Which free agents will make changes to their teams this summer? If Deandre Ayton chooses a change of scenery, he could provide a major boost to a new franchise, along with the other big names.

June 28 updates

The time is 9: 43 p.m. According to sources, the New York Knicks have agreed to trade center Nerlens Noel, guard Alec Burks, and a second-round pick to the Pistons. The Knicks will be able to clear cap space to sign a free-agent guard with the trade.

The time is 8:10p.m. Sources told Adrian Wojnarowski that the Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed on a two-year contract extension. Prince scored 7.3 points per game for the Wolves.

4:30 a.m. Ivica Zubac has agreed on a three-year, $33 million extension with the Los Angeles Clippers, his agents told ESPN. His $7.5 million team option was declined by the Clippers.

Last season, Zubac averaged a career high in points, blocks, and Rebounds.

4:30 a.m. Sources told Tim MacMahon that the former Dallas Mavericks guard will sign a four-year deal with the New York Knicks.

The Mavs may be able to work a sign-and-trade to recover assets if New York clears the rest of the cap space.

It's possible that a change of scenery will affect Deandre Ayton.

4:30 a.m. Sources told Adrian Wojnarowski that Tony Bradley is exercising his $2 million player option. Bradley averaged 3.0 points a game for the Bulls last season, a decrease from his career-high 8.7 points in the 2020-21 season.

The time is 12:56pm. The Cleveland Cavaliers have made offers to two players. He only appeared in 11 games last season after having surgery on his knee.

In the 2020-21 season, he averaged a career-high 24.3 points. The player averaged 1.1 points a game last year.

10:46 a.m. Sources told Adrian Wojnarowski that Russell Westbrook will exercise his option to return to the LA Lakers for the 2022-23 season. The final season of the five-year, $206 million contract of the NBA's Most Valuable Player, Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook, is about to begin.

Following a subpar season with Anthony Davis and LeBron James, there has been a lot of criticism for Russell. Injuries limited the point guard to only 21 games with James and Davis.

There is a 10:30 a.m. The 2022-23 season will be a "prove it" year for Kyrie Irving with the Brooklyn Nets, according to Nick Friedell.

Friedell thinks it's a good thing for the Nets. The commitment is short term. This is a 'prove it' year and if they bring everybody back, the feeling inside of that organization is that they can win if Kevin Durant is playing at a high level. They can win at any level. That is not yet known.

June 27 updates

The time is 9:41p.m. According to a source, the Houston Rockets and John Wall have reached a deal that will shave $6.5 million off of his salary. Sources say Wall will sign with the LA Clippers once he clears waivers.

The time is 7 o'clock. He told The Athletic on Monday that he was opting in to his option with the Brooklyn Nets. Sources confirmed that Irving exercised his player option without a sign-and-trade deal. The decision had to be made by Wednesday.

Irving isn't eligible for a sign- and-trade deal anymore. Irving wouldn't have a say in a potential landing spot if he were traded by the Nets.

11:30 a.m. Sources told Adrian that there are no known teams that are interested in a sign-and-trade deal for Irving. After 6 p.m., no sign-and-trades can be discussed. The time is on Thursday. Brooklyn isn't thought to be interested in Lakers packages. The Lakers would be able to sign Irving for $6 million if he declines his $36 million player option. Wednesday is the deadline for him to make a decision.

The sun is setting at 9:00 a.m. The Brooklyn Nets won't give a max contract to point guard Kyrie Irving in free agency this summer, according to a report. Lowe said that the Nets were not going to be held hostage by the threat of the two players. They seem ready to take a stand here. There will be a fair compromise offer somewhere.

June 23 updates

10:30 a.m. The Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to trade guard De' Anthony Melton to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for the 23rd pick in the draft. In 73 games, he averaged a career-high 10.8 points per game.

The time is 9:49p.m. The New York Knicks made a number of moves on draft night. Kemba Walker was sent to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for $9.2 million in salary and the 11th pick. According to sources, Walker and the Pistons are going to discuss a contract that will allow him to become a free agent.

4:30 a.m. If the Nets and Irving can't agree on a new contract, Irving wants the team to look at other options. None of the teams have the cap space to sign him without the help of the Nets.

June 22 updates

6:30 a.m. According to sources, the Portland Trail blazers have acquired forward Jerami Grant from the Detroit Pistons in exchange for a protected first round pick and additional draft assets. Sources said that Grant's $21 million salary was absorbed by the Blazers. Grant is eligible to sign a four-year extension in December. The Pistons now have $43 million in salary cap space.

3:44 a.m. Sources told Adrian Wojnarowski that Pat Connaughton is exercising his $5.7 million option to stay in Milwaukee. In 65 games last year, Connaughton averaged a career-high 9.9% points.

2 pm. "We'll make a big effort to keep those guys," said Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers. He knows those deals may not happen immediately. The deadline for the rookies to sign extensions isn't until October.

The time is 12:14p.m. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Bradley Beal is very likely to decline the option and re-sign with the Wizards on a five-year deal worth a projected $248 million that would take him through his 33rd birthday.

11:30 a.m. James Harden is close to opting into his $47.3 million player option and then extending his contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, according to a report. Harden's extension would probably fall short of a max contract, but it would still be a significant commitment from Philadelphia.

June 21 updates

4:30 a.m. According to sources, John Wall has exercised his player option for the 2022-23 season. According to sources, the two sides are expected to work on a contract buyout if a swap can't be found for the guard who is 31 years old. In 40 games for the Rockets in 2020, Wall averaged 20.6 points and 6.9 assists.

The time is 12:55p.m. Sources say Nicolas Batum will decline his player option and become a free agent. Sources say that there will be interest in reaching a new deal in July. In his second season with the Clippers, Batum started 54 games and averaged 8.3 points and 4.3 rebound.

June 19 update

The sun is setting at 11:30 a.m. Sources told Tim Bontemps that Jeff Green exercised his player option for the 2022-23 season. Green had until Monday to make a decision. During his 14-year NBA career, Green has played for 11 teams and averaged 10 points in 75 games for Denver last season.

June 18 update

9 pm. Andrew Wiggins told reporters on Saturday that he would love to stay in Golden State after his contract with the Wolves ends.

The third-year guard has until October 17 to sign a new deal with the reigning NBA champ.

They will all be unrestricted free agents. They will be restricted free agents.

June 15 update

The time is 9:39p.m. The Dallas Mavericks acquired center Christian Wood from the Houston Astros in exchange for the 26th pick in the NBA draft and four players with expiring contracts. The 2022-23 season is the final year of Wood's contract. During his two years in Houston, Wood averaged 19.1 points and 9.9% rebound.
