The Ioniq 6 is an all-electric car that will be offered byHyundai. The company's EV market share is quietly surging in Europe and the US, causing even the company's CEO to notice.

If the Ioniq 5 was inspired by the 70s designs, then the 6 was inspired by the 20s and 30s. If you like the look of the Prophecy concept car from 2020, then the Ioniq 6 is the vehicle it is morphing into.

There are no firm details on the battery size or range of the Ioniq 6 because the South Korean manufacturer is showing off the design. The Ioniq 5, which was rated for up to 315 miles on a single charge, is being used by the car. One of the lowest drag coefficients on the market is achieved by the Ioniq 6.

The Ioniq 6 has two different screens, a 12-inch digital cluster and a 12-inch insturment display. When it comes to the kind of controls you will need on a regular basis,Hyundai has gone with physical buttons. When the car is stationary, the touchscreen is great, but when you move, it can be dangerous. Hardware is used for the safety. Anything that isn't related to safety will have a touch interface.

There are lights on the steering wheel that show when the car is charging or listening for voice commands, as well as the ability to light up the cabin with a choice of 64 colors. It is possible to have camera door mirrors instead of regular wing mirrors in markets where they are legal.

Ars Technica reports that the Ioniq 6 will be cheaper than the Ioniq 5, which starts at $46, 650. It should be on sale in the US in model year 2023. The full public launch will take place on July 14th. The hulking SUV concept the company showed off last year is a good place to start.
