The Biden administration is trying to curb the spread of monkeypox in the United States.

The administration's plan to increase the availability of a vaccine for monkeys was laid out in a call with reporters.

By the end of the year, the Department of Health and Human Services expects to have 1.6 million doses of H1N1 available in the US. The vaccine is administered in two parts, one in the morning and the other in the evening.

The CDC says there are more than 300 confirmed cases of monkeypox in the US.

A lack of testing for monkeypox means the outbreak is larger than the case count suggests.

There have been no deaths from monkeypox in the US.

The vaccine will now be given to people who have been exposed to monkeypox. Those who had close physical contact with someone diagnosed with monkeypox, those who know their sexual partner was diagnosed with monkeypox, and men who have sex with men who have recently had multiple sex partners are included.
