The relationship between two same-sex birds has ended in acrimony. Denver Zoo broke the fowl news in a post intended to celebrate pride month, but instead they announced that Freddie Mercury and Lance Bass are no longer together. In case a pair of birds were unable to raise a chick on their own, the zoo's famed same-sex Flamingos got together to be "surrogate parents". According to the zoo, Lance and Freddie were an item for a long time. The announcement came in the middle of Pride month and ruffled some feathers. We can't confirm that it was an easy break up. The idea of "mating for life" isn't true for all birds, according to the zoo's flock of 75 flamingos. Lance is still single and ready to mingle, even though Freddie has dated a female bird named lommi. Lance, keep up the good work.
