The Supreme Court put a hold on the lower court's ruling that found the congressional map discriminated against Black voters.

Three justices dissented in the case.

The court didn't give a reason for blocking the federal judge's order to create a second district where Black voters are the majority.

The case will be held until the court makes a decision in the Alabama case.

The stay will end after the judgement of the court.

The map of Louisiana's congressional districts was found to be in violation of the Voting Rights Act by a federal court.

A third of Louisiana's population is black.

The congressional map was approved by the Louisiana legislature in February.

"This map is not fair to the people of Louisiana and does not meet the standards set forth in the federal Voting Rights Act," he said in a statement at the time. It can be done, and it should be done.

The legislature voted to get rid of the veto.
