The original Hocus Pocus was released by Disney in the summer of 1987 and starred Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker. The 30th anniversary would have been next year, but the Sandersons decided to come back on Disney+. The first trailer for the sequel was released by Disney.
Midler and Najimy will reprise their roles as Winnie and Mary. In the original Hocus Pocus, the sisters were defeated and killed. They have never allowed death to stop them. The trailer introduces the two teenagers who brought the Sandersons back to life. The Wiccans are messing with their powers. They will have to team up with datememe datememe datememe to stop the Sandersons from taking over.

They are looking for revenge after 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle. The witches are going to wreak havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow's Eve, so it is up to three high school students to stop them.
The young Winnie, Sarah, and Mary are being portrayed by three people. Billy Butcherson, Winnie's ex-boyfriend, is played by Doug Jones. Jefry Traske, the mayor of Salem, will be played by Tony Hale. It's not clear who will have the character land on.
The sequel was written by Jen D'Angelo. The sequel to Hocus Pocus will premiere on Disney+.
