Lauren Boebert believes that the church is supposed to direct the government and that she is tired of the separation of church and state.

Boebert made a false claim in her Sunday speech that the government is not supposed to direct the church.

It is not in the constitution to separate church and state. Boebert said that it was in a stinking letter and that it meant nothing to them.

Boebert is expected to win the GOP primary in Colorado's 3rd District on Tuesday because she has raised more money than her opponent.

The establishment clause in the Bill of Rights states that Congress will not make laws respecting an establishment of religion.

Roger Williams was the first to decipher the clause as a wall or hedge of separation between thewilderness of the world and the garden of the church.

The American public had built a wall of separation between church and state according to a letter written by Thomas Jefferson in 1802.

Since Jefferson wrote the letter, states have followed the principle. The doctrine was used by the Supreme Court to uphold the wall.

The current high court has a conservative majority and has recently ruled in favor of religion.

The Supreme Court struck down a Maine policy that prevented religious schools from receiving taxpayer-funded tuition aid and ruled in favor of a football coach who prayed at the 50-yard line after a game.

The church complied and that's why we had so much overreaching. The government should be directed by the church. It is not the government's job to direct the church. Our founding fathers intended it differently.
