  • Ghislaine said that she regretted meeting Jeffrey.

  • She spoke before the judge sentenced her.

  • She acknowledged the pain and anguish of her victims.

Before she was sentenced to 20 years in prison for her crimes, she acknowledged the pain and anguished experiences of her victims and said that her greatest regret was meeting Jeffrey Epstein.

In a statement to the court on Tuesday, Maxwell said the convicted pedophile was a "manipulative" and "controlling" man who "fooled all those in his circle."

She acknowledged the victims who gave impact statements, saying it was difficult to hear and absorb their stories, and that she empathizes with them.

She said she hoped her imprisonment would bring some measure of peace and finality. May this day help you get out of the dark.
