During the sixth public hearing by the House select committee investigating the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol, jaw-dropping remarks were made.
In sworn testimony, Cassidy Hutchinson, a former top aide to then-chief of staff MarkMeadows, said she witnessed Trump's reaction as the riot unfolded.
The rioters have made their way to the capitol, Cipollone said at the White House. The president needs to be seen now, testified Hutchinson.
Hutchinson said that the man didn't want to do anything.
Cipollone told Hutchinson that people were going to die and the blood was going to be on his hands.
The two men walked towards the dining room. Hutchinson testified that Jim Jordan called asking for the congressman. She said she went to the dining room to give the phone to the man. Hutchinson said that she could hear people talking about the chants of "hang Mike Pence" that had been made by some of the rioters.
Hutchinson said she came back to her desk and saw the two men.
Pat said something to the effect of, 'Mark, we need to do something more.' They want the vice president to be hung.
Mark had responded to the sound of Pat. He believes Mike is deserving of it. He doesn't think they're doing anything wrong
