Gordon Hayward was given a four-year, $120 million dollar contract in 2020. He re-signed Terry Rozier to a 4-year contract.

With the emergence of Miles Bridges, who had career-highs in points, rebound, assists and steals, the Hornets want to unload some future money to lock him up.

The Lakers need more depth around James and Davis and a trade centered around Rozier, Oubre Jr. or P.J. Washington could give them that. The Lakers might be able to push for a first-round pick if the Hornets attach a first-round pick to unload Hayward.

The Pacers are a work in progress. Two years ago the team was swept in the first round of the playoffs. At last year's trade deadline, they brought in a future All-Star in point guard Tyrese Haliburton. The Pacers are looking to trade Malcolm Brogdon, who has three years left on his contract, after agreeing to a contract extension last summer.

The Pacers would like to get rid of Buddy Hield's two remaining years under contract so that they can focus on the rebuild.

The Lakers would have to give up a first-round pick for a trade centered around the three players. They would be getting a lot of future money. James has the potential to be a real contender for the rest of his tenure in Los Angeles. From the field, 38.6 percent of the time, and from the free-throw line, 80.7 percent of the time. In his six-year career, Hield has splits of 43, 39.8, and 86.5.

The answer has always been to surround LeBron with shooters. Brogdon is an above average perimeter defender and has a knack for forcing turnovers.

If the Lakers kept Davis at the 4 they could sign a defensive anchor to play center. They could put Davis at the 5, James at the 4 and a defensive minded wing at the 3.

The last option of the Lakers is weird. Irving decided to opt into his player option with the Nets. There was a chance that he would opt out and sign the $6 million mid-level exception with the Lakers.

The Nets have made it clear they don't want Westbrook, so a third or even fourth team would most likely be involved in the trade. A team with the cap space to take on Westbrook could do it.

If Irving wants a trade to the Lakers, this trade will work. He seemed to affirm his commitment to the Nets. You can't really know with Kyrie.
