I wonder if anyone has checked on Amy Schumer.
The notoriously unfunny comedian that has a history of making headlines for putting her foot in her mouth instead of making people laugh is probably suffering from an immense amount of stress after a total of 47 games worth of suspensions.
Schumer hasn't spoken about the "melee" that resulted in eight being ejected. Fights happen in sports that are majority Black. It allows them to talk about why we need more fathers in the home, and how they can connect the violence in Chicago to the fact that we are animalistic. White players fighting in sports is a dust-up. Shout out to the man.
As the conversation continued on social media for days, the highlights ran non-stop when it seemed like the entire roster of the Detroit Pistons, and everyone on staff, had been held back byIsaiah Stewart when he went after King James for bloodying his eye. There was a documentary about the Malice at the Palace. 17 years later, with Black players in a Black league trying to fight each other involved with the same team that plays in arguably the Blackest city in America, we are here.
Bob Costas said at the time about the Malice in the Palace that too many players in the league have actions and attitudes that bespeak a thug mentality. The players were labeled asgangster wannabes.
Is anyone talking about the Angels or theMariners?
Nope, that's right.
White players are the only ones allowed to let their competitive juices flow, especially in baseball, where all of their rules are just guidelines on how to play the "white way." They let off a little steam when things get a little testy because they are fueled by their competitive spirit.
Owen Woodward speared the batter that he gave up the go-ahead home run to during the top of the sixth. Woodward was suspended for four games by the conference. He was kicked off the team. As soon as it happened, the attention went away. A 30 for 30 documentary would be done on it if CC Sabathia did something like that.
The sport promoted the fight on social media. Rubbin is racin.
You would think that the physical nature of sports like football and basketball would allow athletes to fight. Hockey and baseball are the only sports that allow you to throw pitches at people.
Fighting in sports shouldn't be allowed. We can either look down on it or ignore it when it happens. That wouldn't happen. Society has to see color to do that. They claim they've never done that.
