A former White House aide testified that Donald Trump lunged at a Secret Service agent when he was told he couldn't go to the US Capitol.

Take me up to the Capitol now. According to the aide, Cassidy Hutchinson, Trump wanted to know what happened in the limo.

The steering wheel of the limo was grabbed by Trump after he was told he wouldn't be taken there.

At an abruptly scheduled hearing of the select House committee investigating the January riot at the U.S. Capitol, Hutchinson revealed the dramatic incident for the first time.

After speaking at a rally outside of the White House to his supporters, Trump wanted to go to the Capitol to fight against the confirmation of President Joe Biden.

The White House lawyers were not in favor of Trump doing that, fearing that he could be charged with inciting a riot or interfering with the electoral college certification process.

If Trump went to Capitol, Pat Cipollone, who had the time, warned staff that they would get charged with every crime imaginable.

She said that when Trump ended his rally at the White House, he got into a presidential limo with a Secret Service agent and was under the impression that it was still possible for him to go to the capitol.

When the President got into the vehicle with Bobby, he thought they were going to the Capitol, and when he heard that, he didn't have the money to do it.

'It's not secure,' he said. We're going back to the West Wing.

The President was very angry about that. She said Tony described him as being angry.

She said that Trump said, "I'm the effing president, take me up to the Capitol now"

Trump grabbed at the steering wheel when he reached up towards the front of the vehicle. Mr. Engel told him to take his hand off the steering wheel. Hutchinson cited Ornato's account of the return to the West Wing.

Hutchinson said that Trump used his free hand to lunge at the writer.

She said that when Onato told her this, he moved his hands towards his clavicle.

When she saw him at the White House after the incident, he was sitting and looking confused.
